Volunteer Sensitivity Training
Join us for a thoughtful and practical session designed to help nonprofit staff and volunteer managers strengthen the way they support and guide volunteers—especially when working with individuals navigating challenging life circumstances.
Beth Oswald, CEO of Oshkosh Area United Way, will lead this training, sharing real-world insights from her extensive career in nonprofit leadership. Before joining OAUW, Beth served as the Executive Director of Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, where she worked directly with individuals impacted by trauma and crisis.
The training will focus on:
• Building empathy and active listening skills
• Understanding trauma-informed approaches to service
• Encouraging inclusive, respectful interactions
• Equipping your volunteers with sensitivity best practices
This training is ideal for nonprofit volunteer managers and staff who are looking to build supportive environments and pass on these approaches to their volunteer teams. Volunteers are welcome to attend.
Registration is required and closes on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
