United Is The Way: Join the Forces for Good on Day of Caring 2025!
The galaxy (or at least the Oshkosh area) needs you! On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 9 AM-Noon, the Forces for Good will assemble for our 28th Annual Day of Caring, when volunteers unite to bring hope, help, and impact to organizations like yours.
This is your call to action—submit your mission plans (project opportunities) so our volunteer allies can rally for your cause.
Who Can Join the Cause? This opportunity is open to ALL nonprofit forces—local agencies, service clubs, public schools, municipal partners, and community organizations in Oshkosh and beyond. No matter your sector, if you have a project that needs hands, volunteers are ready to answer the call.
What Makes a Strong Mission? A strong mission provides a meaningful and accessible experience for volunteers while helping your organization move forward. It all depends on your needs, creativity, and resources.
Projects can include, but are not limited to:
- Basic gardening, landscaping, yard or grounds cleanup
- Cleaning and organizing
- Paint prep and painting
- Assisting seniors with various tasks like moving furniture to vacuum, cleaning ceiling fans and light fixtures, etc.
- Assembling shelves and other furniture
- Writing thank-you notes or creating handmade birthday and appreciation cards
- Professional skilled-based contributions such as reviewing handbooks or policies, guidance on budget creation or financial forecasting, data entry, and IT or legal assistance.
Whatever mission you choose should be hands-on and engaging during the three hours volunteers are on-site. Whether you have one large project, multiple big tasks, or a series of smaller jobs, volunteers are ready to help. Consider offering a behind-the-scenes look at your work or sharing stories about your impact to inspire volunteers to stay connected beyond Day of Caring.

Mission Submission Deadline: Friday, May 18
Squad assignments (volunteer details) will be emailed the week of May 5.
