United Way fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community. Locally, we confront the struggles of working families who cannot make ends meet. We fight for those who need a voice. We are the game-changers.
When we Live United, we tackle problems others shy away from. Here are just a few ways our game-changers have transformed Oshkosh for the better:
Increased access to mental health services to help build resilience. Youth and teens in four Oshkosh area schools have access to mental health assessments and treatment through the HOST program.
26 participants in the Debt Management Program reduced their collective debt by $143,598 in 2016.
98% of 2-1-1 callers received the information and referral they needed to address their health and human service needs.
In 2017, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance volunteers committed 732 hours and prepared 270 tax returns, totaling $245,697 in tax refunds for low-income families.
We think you'll agree that we all want to live, work, learn and play in a thriving community; it takes people all across the community working together to make positive changes.
