Over 120 golfers participated in Oshkosh Area United Way’s 11th annual golf outing at Lake Breeze Golf Club on Wednesday, June 12. The event raised more than $30,000 to support local programs, an 18.1% increase from last year. The Oshkosh Area United Way golf outing was presented by Jackson Kahl Insurance.
The day opened with breakfast at the Lake Breeze clubhouse where golfers enjoyed a buffet of food, networking, and announcements.
This annual fundraiser allows Oshkosh Area United Way to raise money to help support local organizations that do impactful work for the community. The money raised allows funded partners to do more good work while spending less time fundraising.
“It was another incredibly successful fundraiser,” said Mary Ann L. Dilling, President & CEO of Oshkosh Area United Way. “For each golfer that participated in the golf outing, it was about helping our community. Everybody had a great time, even with a little rain.”
Throughout the day there was an array of on-course challenges like “Beat the Celebrity” with UW-Oshkosh head basketball coach, Matt Lewis, four hole-in-one contest opportunities, and other contests like longest and shortest drives and putts.
Golfers enjoyed a special 19th Hole after party with food, bucket raffles, silent auction, big ticket raffle and contest winner announcements. Nicole Peterson emceed the after party and was presented with a token of appreciation for her outstanding service to United Way and the community.
The Oshkosh Area United Way would like to thank the staff at Lake Breeze Golf Club, event sponsors, and the volunteers who devoted their time to making this a successful event and all attendees.
