SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT YOUR ORGANIZATION’S MISSION BY PARTICIPATING IN DAY OF CARING!
Each year, Oshkosh Area United Way hosts Day of Caring, one of the largest organized volunteer events in the area. This year marks our 24th year! On Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 7:30am-noon, we ask local businesses to encourage their employees to volunteer and invite all community members to dedicate a few hours at local nonprofit agencies and schools to address community needs.
For nonprofits, Day of Caring is the perfect opportunity to tackle projects they need help completing, spread awareness about community issues and solutions, and extend their reach to those who could serve as future volunteers and advocates. Groups of employees work to make a difference for their organization, staff, and clients.
For volunteers, Day of Caring is an incredible way to give back through volunteering, learn about community needs, and strengthen their connection with other businesses. Volunteers will participate in meaningful volunteer activities that will make a difference to nonprofits, their clients, and our community as a whole.
Submit volunteer projects and register to volunteer before Friday, April 5, 2019
Are you unable to join us but would still like to participate?
Consider holding a Collection Drive during the month of May instead.
