To us, giving means more than writing a check. It means combining employees' skill, passion and time with our logistics expertise, transportation assets and charitable donations* to make a measurable difference in society. In 2013, we invested over 1.8 million volunteer hours and more than $100 million dollars into our global communities.
We couldn’t do it alone. We’ve teamed up with key organizations to strengthen the diverse needs of the communities we serve. Whether it’s assisting with innovative programs, sponsorships or volunteer opportunities, we’re building stronger communities together with our partners. In order to build the strong, healthy and safe communities we want for our team members and guests, we work closely with partners and organizations. In fact, we've challenged ourselves to meet corporate responsibility goals in the areas of education, sustainability, team member well-being and volunteerism.
In 1951, Co-founder Alberta Kimball established the Foundation, a perpetual fund that supports charitable, scientific, literary and educational institutions and organizations in the Oshkosh area. The Silver Star Brands Foundation donates more than $100,000 to over 30 organizations each year.
